Second Edition hotel opens in Tokyo - Japan Today

Marriott has opened the second Edition hotel in Tokyo. Located on a tree-lined street in the heart of Ginza, the Tokyo Edition, Ginza joins the Tokyo Edition, Toranomon, which opened approximately three years ago.

Known for its luxury shopping and entertainment options, Ginza also sits at the nucleus of Tokyo’s dining scene with 34 out of the city’s 183 Michelin-starred restaurants boasting a Ginza post code, the highest concentration of Michelin-listed restaurants in Japan.

Spread over 14 floors in a tower clad in vertical gardens and a latticed facade woven from metal, the hotel's 86 guest rooms range from 10 suites with separate living areas to entry-level rooms whose minimum of 41 square meters of floor space make them amongst the largest standard rooms in the district.

The Penthouse Suite on the 13th floor features an open-plan living room, dining area, and a fully equipped pantry kitchen to cater to comfortable long-stays and intimate social gatherings.

The new hotel also features a gym with Technogym equipment, a brasserie, lobby bar, a punch-focused cocktail bar and one of Ginza’s first natural wine bars.

Currently in soft opening, the Tokyo Edition, Ginza, is currently offering room rates from 120,000++ yen (excluding tax and fees) per room per night. Terms and conditions apply.
